- Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker (+300) leads the betting odds board for the next manager firing at BetOnline Sportsbook.
- Odds say Mark Kotsay of the Athletics (+350), Matt Quatraro of the Kansas City Royals (+400), and Steven Vogt of the Cleveland Guardians (+450) are also on the hot seat.
- Despite the Braves poor play, betting on Snitker to be fired mid-season is a losing bet.
ATLANTA – Shortly after the Washington Nationals fired 2019 World Series winning manager Dave Martinez and president of baseball operations Mike Rizzo, BetOnline Sportsbook released odds for the next manager to be fired. Long-time Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker is the legal sports betting favorite with +300 odds to be fired next.
Betting Odds For Next MLB Manager To Be Fired
- Brian Snitker (Braves) +300
- Mark Kotsay (Athletics) +350
- Matt Quatraro (Royals) +400
- Stephen Vogt (Guardians) +450
- Torey Lovullo (Diamondbacks) +600
- Alex Cora (Red Sox) +600
- Rocco Baldelli (Twins) +700
- Clayton McCullough (Marlins) +1100
- Will Venable (White Sox) +1400
- Aaron Boone (Yankees) +2500
The Braves just got swept at home by the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend, part of a stretch where they’ve lost nine of their last 11 games. Fans and bettors are right to call for Snitker’s job after falling 11 games under .500 and 13.5 games back in the division they were favored to win, but the +300 odds are a losing bet.
Why You Shouldn’t Bet On Snitker’s +300 Odds To Be Fired
Brian Snitker is in his 10th year as the Braves’ manager and 49th year in the organization. His contract ends following the 2025 season, so it’s unlikely the Braves would fire the 2021 World Series winning manager when he can leave on his own volition at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the +400 odds at BetOnline Sportsbook for Royals manager Matt Quatraro are more valuable in a disappointing season. Quatraro is in his third season with Kansas City, leading them to a 30-win improvement and a playoff bid last season, but the Royals are sputtering in the 2025 AL Central at 14 games back.
Kansas City’s -30 run differential is the 10th-worst in baseball, and some have criticized his bullpen management and lineup organization.
I’m pretty torn on Matt Quatraro. The Royals’ lack of offense isn’t his fault and there’s no way to arrange these guys to get a quality offensive output. On the other hand, his lack of intensity and fire make me think he’s just not the guy to lead a young squad like this.

A $100 bet on Quatraro to be the next manager fired at legal MLB betting sites would payout $500. Although the odds make it seem like Snitker is the best bet, Quatraro’s far more likely to be fired than his +400 odds indicate.
