By all means, this is not a hate piece towards Miami Ohio as they should’ve been in on an at large big with a 31-1 record. However, this is where we find ourselves, and unfortunately for the RedHawks, they’ve landed a tough draw against an SMU team that is loaded with quad one and two wins on the season, something Miami Ohio does not have on their resume.
Some might look at Miami Ohio’s season numbers as a bit inflated due to their lack of competition playing in the MAC. They’ve also had some insanely close calls this season, with 16 of their 31 wins coming at 10 points or less.
