OKLAHOMA CITY – Less than two weeks are left in the NBA regular season with the Play-In Tournament set to begin on April 14th and the Playoffs on April 18th. Here’s a look into which teams have the best odds to win the Finals in each conference.
Best Odds To Win The NBA Finals In The West
- Oklahoma City Thunder: +130
- San Antonio Spurs: +450
- Denver Nuggets: +1100
- Los Angeles Lakers: +2800
The Thunder remain as the clear cut favorites to win back-to-back championships at sports betting sites, which would be the first repeat since the Warriors did it in 2017 and 2018.
Health has been the only real concern for OKC, but both Jalen Williams and Isaiah Hartenstein appear to be at full health right in time for the start of the playoffs.
With a 14-1 record in March, the Thunder look poised for another deep playoff run.
The Spurs have crept up into the second best odds to win the title at +450, going 14-2 in March, led by Victor Wembanyama’s 26.8 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game during the month.
They also hold a 4-1 record against the Thunder this season, proving that they have the firepower to compete with the defending champions.
The Nuggets have +1100 odds to win the title, the fourth best of any team in the league.
Denver has won their last seven consecutive games and Nikola Jokic continues to play at an MVP level.
The Lakers have +2800 odds to win the title, the eighth best in the NBA. Those odds took a hit with Luka Doncic’s hamstring injury, though the severity remains unknown.
The injury will be one to monitor going forward, as Los Angeles’ championship hopes hinge on Doncic’s health.
Best Odds To Win The NBA Finals In The East
- Boston Celtics: +550
- Cleveland Cavaliers: +1300
- New York Knicks: +1800
- Detroit Pistons: +2500
The Celtics now have the shortest odds to win the Finals of any team in the East following the return of Jayson Tatum, who’s averaged 27.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 8 assists per game in his last three games.
The Celtics have gone 10-2 with Tatum in the lineup and are 4.5 games behind Detroit for the #1 seed in the East.
The Cavaliers are at +1300 odds to win the Finals at NBA betting sites after making their blockbuster deal for James Harden, going 17-6 since the trade.
Cleveland currently sits as the four seed in the conference and are likely to face the Hawks, 76ers, or Raptors in the first round.
The Knicks have +1800 odds to win the Finals during what has been a roller coaster of a season for them. New York went 10-6 in March, finishing out the month on a three game losing streak.
The Pistons were the favorites to win the East for a while before Cade Cunningham went down with a collapsed lung, which dropped their odds of winning the Finals all the way to +2500.
Detroit still owns the #1 seed in the East, but it will be difficult for them to make a run with Cade out of the lineup or less than 100%.
