2026-27 March Madness Odds Favoring Duke, Michigan - Jon Scheyer, Dusty May
  • Duke is favored to win the 2027 March Madness tournament with +800 odds.
  • Michigan has +1200 odds to win.
  • There are +2000 odds for UConn to win the National Championship.

DETROIT – The Michigan Wolverines captured their second college basketball National Championship on Monday night with a 69-63 win over the UConn Huskies.

Following the title games, odds on legal sports betting sites came up for the 2027 National Championship, and both of them are contending towards the top of the odds board. However, it is Duke who sits with the shortest odds to win the title.

Odds To Win The College Basketball Champion 2027

  • Duke (#1) +800
  • Michigan (#1) +1200
  • Arizona (#1) +1400
  • Florida (#1) +1400
  • Kansas (#4) +1600
  • Michigan State (#3) +1600
  • Arkansas (#4) +1800
  • Houston (#2) +1800
  • Illinois (#3) +1800
  • Connecticut (#2) +2000
  • Alabama (#4) +2500
  • North Carolina (#6) +2500

Duke comes in with the shortest odds after a tremendous season that ended with a +18 scoring differential against opponents and a trip to the Elite 8. They have the number one recruiting class coming, according to multiple outlets. We’ve seen them make a run to at least the Elite 8 in each of the last three seasons.

Where Michigan, UConn Sit

Looking at the now defending champs, they sit directly behind Duke in every aspect, with the second shortest college basketball odds and the number two overall recruiting class. Unfortunately for them, though, history is not exactly on their side, with just two instances of defending champions in back-to-back seasons dating back to 1993.

As for UConn, their championship pedigree for next season hangs in the air depending on the statuses of Braylon Mullins, Solo Ball, Silas Demary, and other key rotational players returning. Alex Karaban and Tarris Reed, their two leading scorers, are both out of eligibility, and their recruiting class doesn’t sit anywhere near the top-10 either.
