LAS VEGAS – The long awaited return of Conor McGregor comes this weekend against Max Holloway at UFC 329 in Las Vegas in what will be McGregor’s first UFC fight in five years.
UFC 329: Conor McGregor vs Max Holloway 2 Odds
| Fighter | Moneyline | Rounds |
|---|---|---|
| Conor McGregor | +185 | O 2.5 (-110) |
| Max Holloway | -220 | U 2.5 (-120) |
Max Holloway is the favorite at legal sports betting sites with -220 odds to defeat Conor McGregor in his first fight since 2021 when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier. Holloway lost his most recent bout as well, losing to Charles Oliveira by unanimous decision back in March.
The two have faced off once in their career back in 2013, resulting in a win by unanimous decision for McGregor on the undercard of Shogun vs Sonnen.
The line for total rounds is set at 2.5 and could go either way given the fighters’ differing styles. McGregor has tended to be a risk-taker throughout his career, each of his last three fights ending in the first two rounds, two of which resulted in losses.
Holloway, on the other hand, likes to beat his opponents with a steady diet of strikes and stamina that has seen 11 of his last 13 fights last into the fifth round.
With that being said, McGregor likely knows that he doesn’t want to go the distance with Holloway who thrives in late-round fights, so expect him to come out swinging. Bettors should lean towards the under, especially if McGregor empties the tank early.
McGregor Vs Holloway Winner By Round Props
| Fighter | Round 1-3 | Round 4-5 |
|---|---|---|
| Conor McGregor | +300 | +750 |
| Max Holloway | +135 | +200 |
The odds still favor Holloway early in the fight, though not as much as if the fight were to enter the championship rounds, where McGregor’s odds balloon up to +750.
Holloway’s last first round finish came all the way back in 2015 when he defeated Charles Oliveira by TKO. Otherwise, he has not had much of a history of early finishes, at least on the winning end.
McGregor, on the other hand, has been prone to early finishes on both the winning and losing end. He has five career first round finishes and has lost each of his last two fights in the first two rounds.
McGregor Vs Holloway Method of Victory Props
| Fighter | KO / TKO / DQ | Submission | Decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conor McGregor | +270 | +2500 | +1200 |
| Max Holloway | -120 | +1100 | +500 |
The odds indicate a high likelihood of a knockout with Holloway at -120 and McGregor at +270, while submission and decision odds are significantly lower.
Holloway has won 12 of his 27 career victories by way of the knockout, while McGregor has 19 career knockouts in his 22 wins. The two have combined for just three total wins by submission in their careers.
If it comes down to a decision, similarly to the late round odds, Holloway is a significant favorite with +500 odds at UFC betting sites. He’s won around half of his total victories by decision.
