SAN DIEGO – National League pennant odds haven’t changed much at the top since last week’s update, but the Milwaukee Brewers extended their lead atop the table. Milwaukee now has a three-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers (-120) and Atlanta Braves (+575), but the Brewers’ legal sports betting odds got longer at +485 to win the NL.

Jackson Merrill’s power surge has fueled the San Diego Padres to three-consecutive wins, as his two-run home run made the difference in Monday and Saturday’s 3-2 wins, respectively. Merrill is batting .359 in August and has cleared 1.5 total bases in eight of his last 10 games.
