Roglic & Ayuso Against The Field

Starting with Primoz Roglic, he comes in favored having won his last time out at the Volta ao Algarve and a top-10 finish in eighth place at the Coppa Bernocchi. Not to mention, he has also participated in this race before and won in 2024 as well.

As for Ayuso, he has quickly risen as one of the best young riders there is in the sports and potentially the successor to the top of UAE Team Emirates-XRG in place of Tadej Pogacar. Ayuso has finished in the top-10 in five straight races with three total wins.

Tadej Pogacar Not In the Race

Sticking with Tadej Pogacar, who would normally be the favorite sitting at the top of cycling odds boards, he will not be participating in the race as the defending champion and it seems to be a business decision more than anything. With the Vuelta a Espana coming up in August, and it also being the only grand tour that he hasn’t won, he’ll sit out and continue training for that.
