LOS ANGELES – The bleeding for the Los Angeles Angels is over as they snapped a 14-game losing streak with their 5-2 win over the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. The Angels had -132 odds to win and came out and did exactly that.

While the Angels fans were happy to see their team finally take a win, those betting against them during their cold streak see it put to an end of their profitable run.

When betting in $100 units against the Angels on their losing streak, bettors would be up $689,973, if they rolled over their winning from the game before.

Notable Losses

Looking at the 14 losses that they suffered, just five of them came while they were the underdog and the remaining nine saw their opponents with plus odds on legal online betting sites.

As the underdog, their first two games saw the Texas Rangers win with -176 MLB odds and the Toronto Blue Jays with -169 odds. The Blue Jays then won their last two games of the four-game series with -122 and -155 odds. Fast forward to their series with Boston, the Red Sox opened up the series with a win at -125 odds.

The big money came against the teams they were favored to win against – that started in their third game when Toronto won with +105 odds. Just three games later in their series with the New York Yankees, the Angels were favored to win each of the four games, however, New York won all four with +111, +164, +102, and +130 odds.

It was a similar story in their three games series with the Philadelphia Phillies after that as the Phillies won with +110, +145, and +106 odds.

In their most recent series with the Red Sox, their two losses to the Sox before snapping their streak saw Boston win with +114 and +142 odds.

The Angeles now have a three-game series with the New York Mets to look forward to where they have a -125 series price, however, +107 odds to win the first game.
