- There are +200 odds for Tallison Teixeira to win in the first round.
- Gabriel Bonfim has +130 odds to win by submission.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The UFC is headed to Nashville this weekend for UFC Fight Night with a heavyweight main event set between The Black Beast, Derrick Lewis, and Tallison Teixeira. The co-main event in the welterweight division is highlighted by Stephen Thompson and Gabriel Bonfim.
Outside of betting on the outright winners in the main and co-main event, there is some really nice plus money props available on legal sports betting sites, offering great payouts and including both fights ending early.
Teixeira Finishes Lewis Early
Tallison Teixeira Wins In R1 By KO/TKO, DQ
- Yes +200
UFC betting sites might have given up too much value with these odds as Teixeira is one of the most accurate and hard hitting fighters in the UFC today. Through his 8-0 career, he’s finished every single one of his opponents in the first round, and with seven of them coming by knockout.
On the other hand, at 40 years old, it is safe to say that Derrick Lewis has lost a step having lost three of his last five fights with two of those losses coming in the first round.
The 25 year old Teixeira and his insane 14.61 significant strikes per minute on 59% accuracy will be too much for Lewis to handle that early in the fight.
Bonfim Makes It Uncomfortable For Stephen Thompson
Gabriel Bonfim By Submission
- Yes +130
There is no other way to put this other than Gabriel Bonfim will have his way with Stephen Thompson. Bonfim is a submission specialist with tremendous takedown accuracy while Thompson is more of an upright fighter with a below average takedown defense.
In Bonfim’s last seven fights, he’s won six of them with five coming by submission including his last bout in February against Khaos Williams. He averages 3.68 takedowns per fight with pristine 76% accuracy. On the other end, Thompson has a 63% takedown defense. He was also submitted once in his last two losses.
Even if Thompson were to somehow keep this fight upright, the numbers are swaying towards Bonfim as well with higher significant strikes landed per minute and accuracy per bout.
