Betting Lines and Props for USC at UCLA

PASADENA, Cal. – The UCLA Bruins are hosting the USC Trojans on Saturday night and the Bruins are slight underdogs at home. USC won and covered during the two teams’ 2021 matchup but are expected to face much tougher competition this time around.

Betting on the Moneyline

Over the last ten regular college football seasons, the Bruins and Trojans have split the winning total 5-5. Since the 2002 season, the Bruins have also lost at home in six of their ten games against the Trojans. UCLA has gone 2-1 SU on the road during the 2022 season and 7-4 SU since the 2020 season.

Caleb Williams has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NCAAF this season, having +900 Heisman odds for 2022. During his first year at USC, Williams has thrown for over 3,000 yards passing, 31 TDs, and only two interceptions.

Williams has averaged 301 yards per game during the 2022 season, but still has legal sports betting value to hit the over on this prop. On four of his last favorite games played, Williams has thrown at least 360 yards or more.

USC has gone 6-4 ATS for 2022 legal college football betting but should be able to handle the Bruins by at least a field goal on Saturday night. All nine of the Trojans’ wins have been by at least three points and their only loss was by a single point in overtime to Utah.

However, the Trojans have covered in both of the 2022 games that they played at home as the underdog. USC has also struggled as the road favorite, going 1-2 ATS this season. Since the 2002 season, the Trojans have failed to cover the spread at UCLA in six of their ten games.

While this top 25 matchup holds any remaining chance for USC to make the 2022 CFP, past games and stats of the two teams suggest the Trojans pulling out a small margin of victory, but failing to cover against UCLA.
