Race Between Arkansas/LSU

Both Arkansas and LSU are going into the Super Regionals favored way ahead of the rest of the field on CWS betting sites and for good reason. They both finished their regular season at 43-14 and were highly ranked teams as well with LSU finished third and Arkansas sixth.

Getting into numbers, both LSU and Arkansas have notched top-25 seasons in home runs, top-50 in batting average, and top-15 in earned run average per game.

SEC Dominance

History is certainly on the side of Arkansas and LSU being that SEC teams have dominated in the College World Series in recent seasons. In fact, six of the last seven College World Series winners have all been from the SEC.

Of the two, LSU has had more recent success with a championship win in 2023 and an appearance in 2017. Arkansas last College World Series championship appearance came in 2018.
