Delaware’s January Revenue Breakdown

Sportsbooks generated $1.9 million in January legal sports betting revenue, a massive 30.1% drop from the $2.4 million made in January of 2021.

Delaware residents place their sports bets across three state-regulated sportsbooks respectively located at Delaware Park, Dover Downs, and Harrington Raceway.

Sportsbook Revenue Breakdown:

  • Delaware Park: $391,335
  • Dover Downs: $214,703
  • Harrington Raceway: $159,054

Delaware‘s sportsbooks reached an all-time high betting handle in November of 2018, with a record $24.2 million, but hasn’t managed to break the $20 Millon marl since 2019.

A potential reason for Delaware’s slow decline in sports betting interest could be the absence of online/mobile sports betting options causing residents to cross state lines into Pennsylvania, or New Jersey to place their bets online.
