DraftKings Sportsbook Opens First Retail Location In Connecticut

DraftKings launched their first retail sportsbook location in Connecticut at Foxwoods Resort Casino last Saturday. The location is the fifth land-based sportsbook in the state.

LEDYARD, Conn. – DraftKings Sportsbook now has a permanent location in Connecticut after a retail location of the sportsbook officially opened as a part of the Foxwoods Resort Casino last Saturday.

The new, permanent location replaces a temporary, placeholder venue that was also located at Foxwoods. Connecticut has launched five operational retail sportsbooks and three operational online sportsbooks since the official launch of the state’s sports betting industry in October.

The sportsbook is located within the Great Cedar area of the resort and features a two-story, 12,000-plus square foot sportsbook. Bettors can wager at kiosks placed throughout the venue or at windows with live tellers. The sportsbook also includes wall-to-wall televisions, VIP rooms, two full bars, and a restaurant.

The Foxwoods location is the 12th DraftKings retail location to be operational in the United States.

The launch of the legal retail sportsbook compliments DraftKings’ online presence in Connecticut, where they offer their DraftKings Sportsbook as one of the three available mobile apps for sports bettors.
