CHICAGO – The Chicago Bears had a lot of hype surrounding them going into the season being that they were being led by a rookie quarterback in Justin Fields, however, they haven’t lived up to it as they have struggled immensely this season.

With the Bears sitting at a 4-9 record overall and a 4-9 record against the spread, legal betting sites have gone to action with odds on who will be the Bears head coach at the start of next season and Matt Nagy has underdog odds to retain his job.

Eric Bieniemy Odds

Eric Bieniemy has been in the conversation for many coaching jobs around the league and the Bears could be the one to land him. Bieniemy is currently the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs and has done a tremendous job in building them to one of the most explosive offenses in the league over the last four seasons.

Also, Bieniemy has something in common with Nagy as they both come from the Andy Reid coaching staff as Nagy was the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator before Bieniemy.

While some might think the Bears are going to be cautious in going back to the Reid coaching tree, it is worth noting that Nagy did not have much experience on the sidelines before being hired by the Bears as he was only the OC for one year.

Bieniemy has much more experience and has led the Chiefs to a top-10 scoring offense in the league over the last four seasons and they are heading there again in 2021-22.

Kellen Moore Odds

Kellen Moore has also been thrown around in the coaching world as a potential candidate for the Chicago Bears and he could land the job and run with it. Moore was the quarterbacks coach for the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 before becoming the offensive coordinator in 2019.

What separates Moore from the rest of the league’s coaches is his ability to develop players as he has taken full control in developing Dak Prescott into one of the elite quarterbacks in the league. In Prescott’s last two fully healthy seasons, he finished in the top-10 in passing yards and in passing touchdowns as well.

The Bears could look at this as an opportunity for Moore to come in and take the lead in developing Justin Fields and the offense around him into one of the best in the league as he did with the Cowboys.

A bet on either Bieniemy’s or Moore’s NFL odds are two of the safest bets to make in the Bears coaching search.
