2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame: First Ballot Candidate Odds
  • Larry Fitzgerald and Drew Brees have the best odds of any players to be first ballot Hall of Famers in the 2026 class.
  • Jason Witten sits at +160 odds despite having the second most catches and receiving yards amongst tight ends in NFL history.

CANTON, Ohio – With the 2025 NFL season coming up and the 2025 Hall of Fame class recently enshrined, oddsmakers are already looking forward to the 2026 class and more specifically who may become a first ballot Hall of Famer.

2026 Pro Football First Ballot HOF Odds

  • Larry Fitzgerald -2000
  • Drew Brees -1200
  • Jason Witten +160
  • Maurkice Pouncey +1000
  • LeSean McCoy +2000
  • Frank Gore +2500

Legal sports betting sites have Larry Fitzgerald with the shortest odds of any player to become a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2026 at -2000, followed by Drew Brees at -1200 as the only other player in the negatives.

Fitzgerald is widely considered one of the greatest receivers of all time despite never winning a Super Bowl. He ranks second all time in both receiving yards and receptions, as well as sixth all time in receiving touchdowns. It is safe to say we’ll see Fitzgerald inducted in 2026.

Drew Brees seems to be another lock to be enshrined in Canton this upcoming year, sitting second all time in passing completions, yards, and touchdowns only behind the greatest QB to ever play, Tom Brady. The only knock on Brees’ resume is the fact that he never won MVP, but winning Super Bowl MVP in 2010 should be more than enough.

Jason Witten is the first player to dip into the positive odds to become a first ballot Hall of Famer at NFL betting sites, but it would be surprising not to see him inducted.

He ranks second all time in receptions and yards for a tight end, only behind Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez, and sixth all time in touchdowns for tight ends, behind Antonio Gates, Gonzalez, Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, and Travis Kelce, all either current or future Hall of Famers.

Maurkice Pouncey checks in with +1000 odds to be a part of the 2026 Hall of Fame class. It is a long shot for Pouncey to make it, at least on his first ballot, due to his lack of accomplishments. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his nine seasons as a starter, but was First Team All-Pro just two times and did not win a Super Bowl.

LeSean McCoy has +2000 odds to make the Hall of Fame in 2026, but could sneak his way in if all breaks right. McCoy is a two time Super Bowl champion, six time Pro Bowl Selection, and two time First Team All-Pro running back. His lack of longevity could hurt his case, but McCoy’s career totals sit just below those of previous inductees.

Speaking of longevity, there is no better example amongst the running back position than Frank Gore, who has +2500 odds to make it in 2026. Gore ranks third all time in carries and rushing yards in NFL history. However, he did not win a Super Bowl and was never First Team All-Pro.
