Haliburton, Pacers Listed As Road Dogs In A Closeout Game 5

• The Pacers are four point road underdogs despite winning each of the first two games in New York
• Tyrese Haliburton has -125 odds to record at least ten assists, something he has done eight times in fourteen games this postseason

NEW YORK – The fifth game of the Eastern Conference Finals tips off Thursday night as the Indiana Pacers look to finish off the New York Knicks for a trip to the NBA Finals.

Pacers vs Knicks Game 5 Odds

The Pacers won each of the first two games in New York and are coming off a Game 4 victory. However, legal sports betting sites list the Knicks as slight favorites to win Game 5.

The smart money play is to bet the Pacers’ moneyline at +140.

The Knicks will likely come out firing, but they have gone just 3-5 at home in these playoffs.

They are 1-1 in potential closeout games at home so far, losing Game 5 at home to the Detroit Pistons in the first round and beating the Boston Celtics in Game 6 after Jayson Tatum’s achilles injury.

The Pacers have gone 6-1 on the road, including six straight road wins after losing Game 3 to the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

Indiana found their touch once again in Game 4, scoring 130 points, the second most they have scored this postseason behind Game 1 of the ECF, where they scored 138 points.

New York won’t go down without a fight, but they simply do not have the firepower to match the Pacers’ when their offense is clicking.

Bet Haliburton Assists

Tyrese Haliburton has been getting a lot of love for his playmaking recently and for good reason.

He recorded 15 assists and no turnovers for the eleventh time in his career, the third most of any player all time.

Tonight, NBA betting sites have his line set at 9.5 assists with -125 odds to cash the over.

Halliburton has recorded at least ten assists in eight of his fourteen games this postseason and in three of the four games this series.

The only game this series where he was unable to reach that figure was Game 3 when the Pacers shot 20% from the three point line and scored just 100 points, the least they have scored in a game all playoffs.

Haliburton will have plenty of opportunities for assists, it’s just a matter of players making shots. If Indiana can stay hot, Haliburton should easily clear 10 assists.
