MILANO CORTINA – Jordan Stolz is the favorite to win the Men’s 500 meters speed skating event at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics. The American Speed Skater has -150 odds to win the gold, with the second favorite having +225 odds.

Making his second appearance in the Winter Olympics, Stolz is looking to perform better than he did in 2022 in Beijing. Stolz finished in 13th place in his Olympic debut in the 500m but has been at the top of World Cup events since.
Most recently, he finished in first place at the 2025 ISU World Cup. In the last World Cup race before the Olympics, Stolz finished second in the men’s 500m.
Damian Żurek finished that race in first, barely outskating the USA favorite. Żurek also finished first at the European Championship in January of 2026 for the men’s 500, entering the Olympics as one of the hottest skaters.
With +325 odds to win gold at the Milano Cortina Olympics, Żurek offers some of the best value. In between Żurek and Stolz, Jenning De Boo has +225 odds to win gold.
The Dutch skater had two big wins in 2025, finishing first at the World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships and first at the World Cup 500 m Race in Salt Lake City.
Outside of these three skaters, odds at legal sports betting sites do not suggest any other skaters are in the mix. Jun-Ho Kim has the fourth-best odds at +3300 to win gold.
