Based on the consistent odds movement in favor of the lightweight belt holder, he’s not the only one confident in his fighting abilities. Many UFC betting sites opened with Makhachev at -750 odds to defeat Moicano, but those odds have since moved to -1100 in less than an hour.
If Makhachev cashes those odds, his five successful title defenses would be the most all-time in lightweight division history. Moicano has won his last four fights, including a second-round TKO in his last fight against Benoit Saint Denis.
As a result of the moves, Jailton Almeida (-510) and Sergey Spivak’s heavyweight bout moves up to the main card and Beneil Dariush won’t fight at UFC 311.
