LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Rams acquired reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett on Monday in exchange for Jared Verse and draft compensation. The all-in move has shaken up Super Bowl odds at NFL betting sites, moving the already-favored Rams from +750 to +650.
Mason followed up by saying the Rams shortened up to +600 after a bettor placed a $3,000 bet on LA at +650 odds. Defending Super Bowl champion and LA’s division rival in the Seattle Seahawks sit at +1100 odds to repeat, tied with the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills for the second-shortest odds.
The Rams’ odds to win the NFC jumped from +400 to +325 after the deal was confirmed on Monday. LA lost in the NFC Championship game last season to the ultimate Super Bowl LX champions, but getting Myles Garrett could be the difference in the 2026–2027 season.
Browns Super Bowl Odds Somehow Get Worse
Although it was unlikely that the Cleveland Browns would make a miracle Super Bowl run this season, their legal sports betting odds to win Super Bowl 61 are dead last at +30000. Losing the two-time Defensive Player of the Year brought their odds down from 250-1 to 300-1, making them the longest longshot on the board.
Cleveland received former Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse, in addition to multiple draft picks in exchange for their franchise player. The Browns get LA’s 2027 first-round pick, their 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick in addition to a young defensive edge replacement with Verse.
