MNF Double Header Betting: Bucs Vs. Texans, Chargers Vs. Raiders - Baker Mayfield, CJ Stroud, Justin Herbert, Geno Smith
  • There is a 42.5-point total set between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans.
  • The Los Angeles Chargers are 3.5-point favorites over the Las Vegas Raiders.

LAS VEGAS – Capping off the Week 2 NFL slate is a Monday Night Football Doubleheader. In the first game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the road against the Houston Texans. Finishing off the night, the Las Vegas Raiders are hosting the Los Angeles Chargers in an AFC West clash.

According to legal sports betting sites, these are expected to be two extremely close matchups to finish the week, leading us to our best bets for the doubleheader.

Defensive Battle In H-Town

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. Houston Texans

  • Moneyline: Buccaneers (+130) vs. Texans (-150)
  • Spread: Texans -2.5
  • Total: 42.5

This should be a major defensive showdown, all led by the Texans defense and their inconsistency on offense. The Texans defense has taken a major step forward this season, and we saw that start to shape out in Week 1 vs. the LA Rams, where they allowed just 14 points despite letting up over 300 yards of offense.

The Houston offense also looked extremely slow last week, totaling just 265 yards and no touchdowns for just nine points.

On the Bucs side, not to discredit them at all, but they did go back and forth in a close win over an Atlanta Falcons team that was bottom 10 in points allowed last season.

We fully expect the pace of the game to go through the Texans and push the point total under 42.5 points.

Pick: Under 42.5

Chargers Assert Dominance In Week 2

Los Angeles Chargers Vs. Las Vegas Raiders

  • Moneyline: Chargers (-185) vs. Raiders (+160)
  • Spread: Chargers -3.5
  • Total: 46.5

Make no mistake here, the Chargers are for real this season, and bettors should take advantage of the discount at NFL betting sites here for them to win and cover.

They manhandled the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 as Justin Herbert threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns in their 27-21 win. In Week 2, we should see them assert their dominance on the ground as well, which should wear out the Raiders defense.

As for the Raiders, they had a decent win in Week 1 vs. the New England Patriots. However, there is a massive injury concern surrounding star tight end Brock Bowers, and his availability due to a knee injury.

  • Pick: Chargers -3.5
