CARSON CITY, Nev. – Nevada sportsbooks won $50.5 million in June, a 20.02% increase over June 2025. The number closes a fiscal year in which statewide gaming win topped $16 billion for the first time, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reported Tuesday.
A 20% June Gain While New York’s Hold Hit A Record Low
The board’s monthly revenue report put June sports pool win at $50.5 million on an 8.72% hold, with mobile wagering accounting for $33.7 million of it, up 12.69% at an 8.09% hold.
The “other” sports line, where soccer falls in Nevada’s reporting, rose 48.51% to $18.9 million in the month the World Cup ran its group stage and first knockout games. Basketball win climbed 34.45% to $11.1 million, baseball fell 18.37% to $17.9 million, and football was the one sports line to post a loss, $1.4 million for the month.
The gain ran against the June pattern in the largest market. New York’s mobile sportsbooks set a June betting record on thin margins, taking $2.25 billion in wagers but winning 43.5% less than a year earlier at a 5.18% hold, the lowest recorded in that state.
Reno Carried The Statewide June Gain
Statewide gaming win came to $1,343,812,698 in June, a 0.82% increase over the $1,332,818,773 won in June 2025, according to the board’s press release. Clark County slipped 0.72% and the Las Vegas Strip fell 1.39% to $754.7 million. Washoe County rose 17.64% to $107.6 million, and Reno climbed 20.27% to $81.6 million, the largest gain of any market area in the report.
First Fiscal Year Above $16 Billion
For the fiscal year that ran July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, statewide gaming win totaled $16,047,446,577, a 2.59% increase over the prior year’s $15,641,680,291. Sports betting contributed $612.5 million of that total, up 19.97% on a 7.75% hold.
Mobile accounted for $432.9 million of the year’s sports win, up 36.41% and roughly 71% of everything the books kept, in a Nevada sports betting market that still requires in-person registration to open a mobile account. The country’s oldest legal sports betting market grew its sports win nearly eight times faster than its overall gaming win during the fiscal year.
Tax Collections Fell 6.99% Despite The Record
The state collected $81,647,636 in percentage fees in July, based on taxable revenue generated in June, a decrease of 6.99%, or $6,134,363, from the $87,781,999 collected in July 2025. The release says the figure reflects collections through July 21 and excludes $1,829,717 in transferable tax credits taken in the fiscal year to date.
The board reports July win, the first month of fiscal 2027, in late August.
