CARSON CITY – Boomer’s Sportsbook was approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission earlier this summer and will launch an in-person sportsbook in Carson City on September 1st.
The new franchise launched its first retail sportsbook at the Commercial Casino in Elko on August 1st and continues its statewide rollout.
Boomer’s will offer an alternative to other sportsbooks in Nevada, like Caesars, BetMGM, and William Hill.
The sportsbook is set to roll out 10 retail locations across the state of Nevada this fall, just as football season approaches.
Veteran CEO and founder, Joe Asher, who previously served as Head of sports betting for IGT and CEO of William Hill, announced that his franchise, Boomer’s Sportsbook, will be opening new locations across Nevada.
In a recent interview, Asher said:
“I still do have the entrepreneurial itch to get out and give it a go,” he said. “I think one of my real skills is being able to put together a team and then keep everybody together and push everybody to be their best. If I couldn’t do that this time around, that might have nipped this whole idea in the bud, because if I can’t put the right team together, then how could I possibly be successful?”
This will be Asher’s second time serving as CEO for a major retail sportsbook.
Casino Fandago will be the venue for Nevada’s first independent retail sportsbook in Northern Nevada.
Additionally, the retail sportsbook will offer an app and legal sports betting site allowing users to place sports bets from anywhere in the state of Nevada.
The legal sports betting app is now live and features a variety of betting options, including parlays, straight bets, teasers, and player propositions.
Boomers Sportsbook is set to open to the public on September 1st.
This will be the first location to hit Northern Nevada. The Carson City location is part of a state-wide sportsbooks launch around Nevada, including Elko, Las Vegas, and Henderson.
