NFL Week 1 Opening Lines: 49ers Vs. Rams, Cowboys Vs. Giants
  • The Los Angeles Rams (-145) and San Francisco 49ers will open the 2026 season in Melbourne.
  • The Dallas Cowboys have -130 odds to beat the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

NEW YORK – There are two banger divisional matchups set to open up the 2026 NFL season. The San Francisco 49ers are taking on the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday in Melbourne, Australia, and the Dallas Cowboys will take on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football in MetLife Stadium.

With both of those matchups on tap for Week 1, legal sports betting sites have odds posted for both games, giving bettors value early on in the offseason.

San Francisco 49ers Vs. Los Angeles Rams

  • Moneyline: 49ers (+125) vs. Rams (-145)
  • Spread: Los Angeles Rams -2.5 (-120)
  • Total: 48.5

This has all the makings of a close game on NFL betting sites. Since 2023, they’ve played six times, with five games being decided within 10 points. Last season, they split the series 1-1, with the Rams owning the points advantage 65-52.

Last season, the Rams went 12-8 against the spread with a +8.7 point average winning margin and +3.1 cover margin ATS. The 49ers went 11-7-1 ATS with only a +1.8 winning margin and +1.2 cover margin.

Dallas Cowboys Vs. New York Giants

  • Moneyline: Cowboys (-130) vs. Giants (+110)
  • Spread: Dallas Cowboys -2.5
  • Total: 47.5

This is one of the most anticipated matchups of Week 1, with both teams rolling out several new starters on both sides of the ball, John Harbaugh debuting as the Giants’ head coach, and several other storylines.

The two also split the season series last year. Despite going 4-13 last year, New York finished 9-8 against the spread on a +1.5 average cover margin. The Cowboys went 7-10 ATS and failed to cover in both games against the Giants as well last year.
