Kendrick Lamar has been at the forefront of hip-hop ever since his run-in with Drake, leading to the release of “Not Like Us”.
The hit single has broken multiple records, including longest charting rap song in Billboard Hot 100 history, as well as most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Morgan Wallen has claimed the throne as the most popular country artist and released his new album titled I’m The Problem just one week ago.
The album debuted at #1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart this week, becoming just the fifth country artist to achieve such a feat.
Doja Cat has yet to release a single or album in 2025, but had multiple highly charting features in “Just Us” with Jack Harlow and “Lose My Mind” with Don Tolliver.
She has not dropped an album since 2023 but is anticipated to drop an album at some point in 2025.
Post Malone has notably transitioned from hip-hop and R&B to country with his most recent album F-1 Trillion releasing in August of 2024.
The singer’s genre change worked out pretty well, as his album debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts.
Betting sites with odds for entertainment clearly view this as a three person race between SZA, Sabrina Carpenter, and Kendrick Lamar.
It is important to note that a female artist has won in six of the last ten American Music Awards.
