LOS ANGELES – The Utah Jazz travel to Crypto.com Arena to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night with the return of LeBron James looming.
Jazz vs Lakers Game Odds
| Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jazz | +12.5 (-115) | +450 | O 239.5 (-105) |
| Lakers | -12.5 (-105) | -650 | U 239.5 (-115) |
Legal sports betting sites list the Lakers as 12.5 point favorites over the 5-8 Jazz, who have won two of their last three games.
Los Angeles currently sits at 10-4, winning three of their last four games and returns home after a five game road trip.
Utah is just 1-5 on the road with an abysmal -15.8 point margin per game, while the Lakers are 3-2 at home with a 1.2 point margin per game.
The Lakers are also anticipating the return of LeBron James, who has yet to play this season due to sciatica, but could be in line for his season debut on Tuesday.
Bettors should bet on the Jazz to cover the spread here, as Utah has covered 12.5 points in three of their six road games and the Lakers have covered that figure just once in their five home games.
LeBron James Over 15.5 Points (-115)
As previously mentioned, James could be on track to return on Tuesday night after logging a full practice on Monday.
Legal NBA betting sites have tentatively set James’ point total at 15.5, a figure that he should easily be able to surpass if playing any meaningful amount of minutes.
The Lakers are highly unlikely to have their 40-year old star suit up if not 100% healthy, so he should see at least 25-30 minutes if he were to be active.
James averaged 24.4 points per game on 34.9 minutes per game in his 39-year old season in 2024 and has never averaged under 20 points per game in a season.
The league’s all time leading scorer should have no problem clearing 15.5 points in his return to action.
Keyonte George Over 6.5 Assists (+110)
One of the biggest stories for the Jazz this season has been the development of Keyonte George, who has averaged 22.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 7 assists per game so far.
His assists have taken somewhat of a hit in November, dropping to 5.6 assists per game from his lofty 9.2 assists per game in five games during October.
However, George has recorded just two games with less than six assists all season long and has had three games with six assists, as well as three games with seven assists through eight games in November.
Additionally, the Lakers currently rank 11th in opponent assists per 100 possessions, meaning there should be plenty of opportunities for George to capitalize with his playmaking.
George is also tied for 15th in the league in potential assists per game (13.0), an official stat from NBA.com which tracks made + missed shot attempts off passes from each player.
