Cuomo Expensive For A Reason
Andrew Cuomo is favored across the board, not just on political betting sites, to win the New York mayoral election. His only real competition is current New York State Representative, Zohran Mamdani, while Eric Adams is as good as done.
Cuomo has 36.7% first choice option amongst voters while Mamdani is just behind him with 28.1%. Eric Adams, though, isn’t even listed in that category.
In the approval ratings, it’s Mamdani leading the way at 59% with the remaining 41% split between unfavorable and unsure. Cuomo has a 51% approval rating and a notable 46% unfavorable. Current mayor, Eric Adams, leads the way with 80% unfavorable.
Lastly, looking at the race by borough, Cuomo leads in four of the five with over a 40% approval rating in three of them. Mamdani holds the lead in Brooklyn at a 36.5% approval rating to Cuomo’s 27.9%.
