SALT LAKE CITY – The NBA Summer League in Salt Lake City continues on Monday with a game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder in what oddsmakers are expecting to be a close one based on the spread.

The Sixers are slight favorites right now on legal sports betting sites with just a 1.5-point spread leaning their way. However, there is definitely some points left off the board here and Philly is poised for a bounce back after their close opening game of the Summer League.

  • Spread: 76ers -1.5
  • Total: 172.5

Sixers Bounce Back Vs. Thunder

Although Philly is 0-1 to start Summer League, their performance does not reflect that and it all starts with their third overall pick, VJ Edgecombe, who exploded in his debut with 28 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Philly also kept things competitive with just a four-point loss. Despite losing, Philly saw three starters finish with a positive +/- to finish the game. On the other hand, OKC saw a 12-point loss to Memphis.

What Summer League comes down to in the end is who has the better roster and Philadelphia certainly meets that criteria. Outside of Edgecombe and Johni Broome, their three other starters in Adem Bona, Justin Edwards, and Jalen Hood-Schifino all were a part of the Sixers roster in the regular season and saw meaningful minutes in the rotation as well.

As for OKC, Ajay Mitchell is the only one on the roster that cracked the rotation in 36 games this season while Malevy Leons and Alex Ducas were both on the roster at some point during the season. The Thunder’s 2024 draft pick, Nikola Topic, is playing significant minutes.

With the experience factor leaning heavily on the Sixers here, bettors can take their spread on NBA betting sites without hesitation.
