Yes, this is the preseason, but there is some great value on legal sports betting sites backing the Lions to win as well as the over in total points for the game. Lions To Have Their Way With Chargers In HOF Game
This NFL betting line is seriously underpriced based on who will be leading the offenses for both the Chargers and Lions. The Lions will have a respectable name under center in second year QB, Hendon Hooker, who many consider one of the top backups in the league with his dual threat ability.
Hooker started all three of the Lions preseason games last season and led them to a 2-1 record with two of those three games going over 33 points and covering a -2.5-point spread as well. They scored 24+ points in both of their wins last year.
Other than that, being that this is a Dan Campbell run offense in the preseason, anyone watching and betting on this game can almost guarantee that he’ll pull out trick plays, go for it on fourth down, and anything else out of the ordinary while putting up points.
As for the Chargers, it’s a completely different story. Without Justin Herbert, they’ll likely lean on rookie undrafted quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who had a nightmarish final collegiate season at Florida State, where the Seminoles offense ranked in the bottom five for total offensive yards and points in the country.
With that said, expect the Lions to do most of the heavy lifting offensively here while hitting the over in what could very well be a blowout win.
