Past UFL Championship Winners
In the first two full seasons of the UFL, we’ve seen two different champs. The Birmingham Stallions won the initial championship in 2024, which was followed up by the DC Defenders in 2025. D.C. won the title as the outright underdog on UFL betting sites at +135 odds.
What’s Changing For The 2026 Season?
For starters, there are three new expansion teams and three teams that got taken out of the league. Starting with the expansion, the Orlando Storm, Columbus Aviators, and Louisville Kings will all make their UFL debuts this season.
As for the departures, the San Antonio Brahmas, Michigan Panthers, and Memphis Showboats all got taken out of the league despite both the Brahmas and Panthers making the UFL title games in the last two seasons.
There is also some rebranding with the Renegades now being known as the Dallas Renegades instead of Arlington. The Houston Gamblers have changed from the Roughnecks.
