Profitable Indy 500 Odds For Historic Feat
  • Alex Palou is favored to win the Indy 500 with +275 odds.
  • Josef Newgarden and Takuma Sato have a chance to become three-time winners.
  • Hélio Castroneves has a chance to become a five-time winner.

INDIANAPOLIS – Arguably the biggest car race of the year, the Indy 500 is set for Sunday, May 24th at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Along with the race, legal sports betting sites have some profitable odds set across the board with several drivers competing for the historic win, and others that can join some exclusive company with a win as well.

Indy 500 Odds

  • Alex Palou: +275
  • Pato O’Ward: +700
  • David Malukas: +900
  • Alexander Rossi: +1000
  • Josef Newgarden: +1000
  • Conor Daly: +1200
  • Scott McLaughlin: +1200
  • Felix Rosenqvist: +1400
  • Santino Ferrucci: +1600
  • Scott Dixon: +2000
  • Kyle Kirkwood: +2500
  • Christian Rasmussen: +3300
  • Takuma Sato: +3300
  • Helio Castroneves: +3500
  • Will Power: +3500

As the Indy 500 odds currently sit, the number one-ranked IndyCar driver, Alex Palou, is heavily favored to win ahead of the rest of the field as the only driver with odds under +700 to do so. He’s won three races this season so far with five top-5 finishes as well. He is the reigning Indy 500 winner as well.

A Shot At History

There have been just 10 drivers in history to have won the Indy 500 three total times, and only four of them to have won it four times. Going into the race, there are two drivers who can jump into the 3x winner circle and one who can make history as the only driver to win five Indy 500 races.

Both Josef Newgarden (+1000) and Takuma Sato (+3300) are the two who have a chance to win their third. Newgarden has won more recently, winning back-to-back in 2023 and 2024, while Sato claimed victory in 2017 and 2020.

As far as making history, Helio Castroneves (+3500) is the only driver in the pool that has won four Indy 500 races and has a chance to make it five come the 2026 race. He’s won the race in 2001, 2002, 2009, and 2021.
