Is bet365 a Good Sportsbook?

Yes, with conditions. bet365 is a legitimate, state-licensed book that deserves a spot in most bettors’ rotation. It’s strongest if you follow international sport alongside the American leagues. If you only bet the four major US leagues and you want a busy promotions calendar, it shouldn’t be your only account, because that’s exactly where bet365 runs thin.

Start here before you fund anything.

bet365

Across 22 states, bet365 is the strongest in-play book in the regulated market, with streaming and early cash out built in. Its board posts later than the American books and its props run thinner.

  • Check your own state first. bet365 holds an active sports betting license in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia. Seventeen states in total. Outside them, none of what follows applies to you yet.
  • The welcome offer pays in bonus bets, not cash. You never get the stake back on a bonus bet, even when it wins, so the value that reaches you lands well under the figure on the banner.
  • The promotions calendar is quiet. bet365 runs no loyalty or rewards program for sportsbook players at all. Price that gap in before you scroll any further.
  • Read the fine print on winning big. bet365’s terms reserve the right to decline or amend any bet in part or in full, and cap maximum winnings at $5,000,000 per customer or group of customers acting together. Neither clause is unusual among licensed books. Both matter far more to you if you win consistently than if you bet for fun.

Louisiana is the odd one out. bet365 takes bets only in parishes that voted to permit sports betting, so geolocation can refuse a wager in one parish and accept the identical wager a few miles down the road.

bet365 States, in Order

Sort the rollout by launch date instead of the alphabet and it tells a different story. New Jersey sports betting came first, in August 2019, and bet365 then sat in two states for roughly three years before the pace picked up.

Ten of the 17 arrived from 2024 onward. Nothing changed about bet365’s ambition. In most states a sportsbook can’t apply for a standalone license of its own, so bet365 has to attach itself to a casino or racetrack that already holds one and then negotiate that partnership before it can launch. Every state is its own deal. They arrive one at a time because they have to.

Where bet365 Doesn’t Reach

Five states have no bet365 presence, and appetite has nothing to do with any of them.

  • New York caps its mobile licenses at a small count and prices them high, which keeps new entrants out.
  • Nevada wants you to register in person at a partnered casino before a mobile account works at all, a bigger lift than the pure online licensing most states allow.
  • Florida‘s market goes through the Seminole Tribe’s compact, which controls sports betting access statewide.
  • Washington permits sports betting only on tribal casino property, and there’s no statewide commercial mobile market to join.
  • Massachusetts caps its license count too, and bet365 is pushing to change its own position there. The state’s gaming commission voted on April 9, 2026 to reopen bidding for a limited count of untethered online licenses, a move triggered by a formal request from bet365 itself.

Same shape every time. A structural barrier in how the state licenses sports betting, and no decision bet365 ever made against that state.

What Changes by State

Three details shift with where you are, each confirmed against bet365’s current pages.

  • Account age. Kentucky opens accounts at 18, below the 21-and-over standard bet365 applies everywhere else, matching Kentucky’s own statutory minimum. The bonus doesn’t follow. Both current offers require you to be 21 or older nationwide, so an 18-year-old Kentuckian can open an account and still can’t claim the sign-up offer that brought him there.
  • Casino access. The casino product travels with the sportsbook in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and nowhere else. Each of those three runs its own separate welcome package, so a casino bonus advertised for one of them won’t turn up anywhere else on the list above.
  • Geolocation. Coverage follows your phone. Your mailing address has nothing to do with it. A New Jersey resident driving through Ohio bets under Ohio’s rules while he’s physically there, and that same person can’t place a bet at all once he crosses into a state without bet365.

bet365 Bonus

bet365 runs two welcome offers at once and you have to pick one, because claiming either forfeits the other. Everyone compares these on the banner figure. That’s the wrong figure to compare.

i

Bet $10, Get $150 in Bonus Bets, Win or Lose

  • Deposit at least $10 in the seven days before you claim.
  • Place a $10 qualifying wager at odds of -500 or better on at least one selection.
  • $150 in bonus bets lands whether that first bet wins or loses.
  • Claim inside the app within 30 days of registering, and settle the qualifying bet within 30 days of claiming.
  • Scheduled to close to new customers at 8:59 a.m. ET on Aug. 25, 2026.
i

First Bet Safety Net, up to $1,000

  • Same deposit window, qualifying wager and odds floor as above.
  • Pays only if your first bet loses, refunding the stake in bonus bets up to $1,000, credited within 24 hours of the loss.
  • Works on a straight bet, a parlay, a Same Game Parlay or a Same Game Parlay Plus.
  • Boosted-odds bets and virtual sports don’t qualify for the refund.

A few mechanics apply to both offers, and they’re unlikely to move even when the dollar figures do.

  • You never get the bonus bet’s own stake back when it wins, only the winnings. No term in this category gets misread more often.
  • Bets on the same market and event count as the largest single wager for release purposes instead of being summed, so stacking several small bets on one moneyline won’t multiply your credit.
  • Cashed-out bets, bets funded with bonus bets, bets at boosted odds, pushes and no-action bets don’t count toward qualifying.
  • Bonus bets expire seven days after they land, and any further bonus bets added inside that window reset the whole balance to seven days from the newest addition.

Run the $150 offer through the arithmetic and the gap between advertised and delivered gets obvious fast. Split the credit into six $25 bonus bets, price each at even money, and assume half of them win. That’s a fair midpoint for this kind of offer.

Realized bonus value

ItemFigure
Advertised bonus$150
Bonus bets it is split into6
Price assumed per bonus betEven money (+100)
Win rate assumed50%
Cash returned from winners$75
Cash returned from losers$0
Realized cash as a share of the advertised figure50%

That math is ours, applied to bet365’s stated rules. bet365 puts out no equivalent figure anywhere. Half the advertised amount reaching your withdrawable balance is the realistic shape here, and pessimism has nothing to do with it.

New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania players have historically received a casino deposit-match package on top, a 100% match up to $1,000 with its own wagering requirement and per-spin cap. Casino offers move on their own schedule, so confirm the current terms on bet365’s casino promotions page before you count on it.

Between the state check above and the cash value here, this is where a bet365 account earns its spot or doesn’t. If it earns it, claiming the offer without tripping a deadline takes five steps.

How to Claim the bet365 Bonus

Five steps, in order, if you’re registering today.

Step 1: Register With Real Details

bet365 wants you 21 or older everywhere except Kentucky, where the account itself opens at 18 even though the welcome bonus still needs 21. One account per person. Your legal name, date of birth, address and payment method all have to match each other, because a mismatch clears a deposit today and stalls a withdrawal later.

Step 2: Complete Verification Immediately

Identity verification can run before your first deposit and again afterward, on a photo ID and a proof-of-address document dated within the last six months. Across the whole industry, the most common cause of a delayed first payout is a customer who verified enough to deposit and not enough to withdraw. Finish this on day one and the problem never exists.

Step 3: Confirm Geolocation Is Working

Leave location permission on for mobile. Desktop needs a geolocation plugin installed once. When a first bet gets rejected, the cause is almost always location services switched off, a VPN running, or a phone reading a cell tower across a state line.

Step 4: Deposit, Then Claim Inside the App

Your deposit has to land inside the seven days before you claim, at $10 or more, and the claim itself has to happen in the app instead of on desktop, within 30 days of registering. Choose between the two offers deliberately. The moment you claim one, the other disappears.

Step 5: Place the Qualifying Bet and Track Two Clocks

The qualifying bet needs a $10 stake, at least one selection at -500 or better, and settlement within 30 days of claiming. A separate clock starts once bonus bets actually land. They expire seven days later, on a schedule that has nothing to do with the 30-day claim window or the 30-day settlement window that came before it. Three windows in total, and the seven-day one catches everyone who tracks only the other two.

bet365 Odds Pricing

i

What a price tells you

A price is a payout instruction and never a statement about the world. A line of -110 tells you what a winning $110 stake returns, and it implies a break-even rate near 52.4 percent. Whether the true chance of that outcome sits above or below that mark is the whole question you’re trying to answer, and no price answers it for you.

Hold is what pays for the building, and a standard two-way price shows you the arithmetic. bet365 puts no vig, hold or margin figure anywhere in its public terms or help hub, so the table below is our own calculation from a standard -110 two-way price. It’s dated today to show the mechanic, and it isn’t a bet365 line captured off the board.

Standard two-way hold

Figure
Price, favorite-110
Price, underdog-110
Implied probability, favorite52.38%
Implied probability, underdog52.38%
Combined (the hold)4.76%

Move both sides tighter, to -105 each, and the hold drops toward 2.4%. Widen them to -115 and it climbs past 6.9%. Put that in dollars. Turn over $1,000 a week across a 20-week season and you’ve pushed a $20,000 handle, where a one-point swing in hold is roughly $200. Easy to miss bet by bet. Hard to miss by January.

bet365’s pricing edge is genuine in soccer, tennis, darts and cricket, built on two and a half decades of global volume. In American player props it’s newer and more contested, up against books built specifically around those markets. Don’t assume the edge travels evenly across sports, because it doesn’t.

Two contractual clauses cap how big a bet can get before any of this matters.

!

House Rules

  • bet365’s terms reserve the right to decline or amend all or part of any bet, with no obligation to explain why.
  • Its House Rules cap maximum winnings at $5,000,000 per customer, or per group of customers acting together, and confirm that per-sport 24-hour maximums exist without giving the figures.

No threshold, dollar amount or timeline appears anywhere in bet365’s public terms for how or when you get limited. The company keeps that to itself, and any figure you see elsewhere is a guess. Put bet365 in a shopping rotation instead of treating it as the whole rotation. It belongs in the mix, and it’s no reason to stop comparing lines elsewhere.

bet365 Sports and Markets

Every licensed sportsbook carries the same baseline of full markets on the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football and college basketball. bet365’s edge shows up past that baseline, in international and niche sport few US-first books match. Soccer well below the top European leagues. Tennis under tour level. Darts, table tennis and cricket.

Live Streaming

A funded sports account or a bet placed in the last 24 hours unlocks streaming on most events. Only selected greyhound and horse racing ask for an actual qualifying wager before the stream opens. The rights-holder reality cuts against the marquee US product, though. The NFL and NBA games you most want to watch are the least likely to be streamable in the app, while the volume gathers in the international tail, from lower-tier soccer to tennis well below the tour to darts and table tennis.

bet365 has advertised event-streamed totals in the hundreds of thousands. That figure moves often and varies by source, so treat any exact count you see as a snapshot of one day.

College Player Prop Restrictions by State

Three states restrict college betting, and the rules come from the state regulator instead of bet365.

  • Louisiana banned proposition bets on an individual college athlete’s performance or statistics on Aug. 1, 2024, under an order from the Gaming Control Board. Wagers on full team statistics still qualify.
  • Virginia goes further. Virginia sports betting law, Code of Virginia § 58.1-4039, bars any proposition bet on college sports at all, and bars any bet of any kind on a Virginia college team, with a violation classed as a Class 1 misdemeanor.
  • Ohio‘s Casino Control Commission banned wagering on individual college athletes’ performance or statistics across every NCAA sport on March 1, 2024, following a request from the NCAA itself. Final scores, spreads and totals on college games stay legal there.

Every licensed sportsbook operating in those three states faces the identical restriction, so switching books inside the same state won’t open a market the state has closed.

Past the restrictions, the in-play product is where bet365 pulls away from a US-first book, with a dense, market-first live betting console and Early Payout doing the heavy lifting.

bet365 App

App Store ratings put bet365 next to the three biggest US sportsbook apps, captured from each listing on Aug. 19, 2026.

AppRatingNumber of ratingsAs of
bet365 Sportsbook & Casino4.8329,000Aug. 19, 2026
DraftKings4.81.2 millionAug. 19, 2026
FanDuel4.82.2 millionAug. 19, 2026
BetMGM4.8261,000Aug. 19, 2026

A rating means close to nothing without its review count beside it, and once you can see the counts, all four land on the same 4.8. DraftKings and FanDuel carry several times bet365’s US review volume and the score doesn’t budge, so nothing in that table proves one app is built better than another.

What the app gets right, specifically.

  • The in-play console is organized around markets, with no promotions carousel in the way.
  • Prices refresh quickly, and the bet slip shows you a price change before you confirm instead of quietly taking it.

What it doesn’t get right is search. Given how many markets bet365 carries, search and navigation assume you already know where your sport is filed, and that’s a genuine friction point most competitor coverage skips.

The desktop site is a separate, denser experience needing the same geolocation plugin as the mobile app. Where the casino product exists, in New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania, it runs as its own app listing with its own rating, so don’t confuse the two scores.

bet365 Deposits and Withdrawals

bet365 takes no credit cards for a US deposit. What it does take is debit cards, Apple Pay, online banking transfer, PayPal, Venmo and cash at retail locations, including a cash cage at Hard Rock Atlantic City. No cryptocurrency option appears anywhere on the list.

Colorado wrote the credit card restriction into statute instead of leaving it to company policy. Senate Bill 26-131, signed by Gov. Jared Polis on June 2, 2026 and in effect since Aug. 12, 2026, bans credit card deposits for sports betting, caps a customer at six deposits per gaming day, and restricts unsolicited betting marketing. Read that as consumer protection. Betting with borrowed money is the documented mechanism by which a manageable habit turns unmanageable, and bet365 closes that door everywhere it operates, not only in the one state that legislated it.

Withdrawals go back to whatever method funded the account, splitting pro rata across methods when you used more than one, and a payout can only be made in the name of the registered account holder.

Separate bet365’s own processing time from the time the money reaches you. bet365 aims to release a withdrawal within 2 hours and says it can take up to 48, and that window accounts only for its own side of the transfer. PayPal typically posts 1 to 4 hours after that. An international debit card can take 2 to 5 banking days on top.

A payout is conditioned on cleared deposits, completed verification, no open regulatory hold and no open investigation, and bet365’s terms say outright that a delay in supplying requested information can delay the payout itself. You can shorten the odds of hitting that.

  • Verify your identity before the first withdrawal request.
  • Keep the name on the funding method identical to the account name.
  • Withdraw to the same method you deposited with.

bet365 Promos for Existing Players

Existing customers get a standing set of structural features instead of a weekly parade of one-off gimmicks. Boosted odds and parlay enhancements run daily across the major leagues and soccer. Judge any of them by checking the unboosted price on the same selection elsewhere first, because a boost applied to an already-inflated parlay price still carries that parlay’s compounded margin underneath.

Early Payout

An eligible pre-game bet settles as a winner once your side reaches a defined lead, whatever happens the rest of the way. Say you put $110 on an NFL favorite at -110 to win $100. If that team goes up 17 points at any point in the game, bet365 settles the bet as a winner immediately and credits the $100, no matter the final score. In a parlay, the triggered leg is marked won and the remaining legs keep running.

SportTriggerApplies to

NBA and NCAAB20-point leadPre-game moneyline, straight bets and parlay legs
NHL3-goal leadPre-game moneyline, straight bets and parlay legs

Soccer-Specific Offers

bet365’s current US soccer promotions page lists no bore-draw or similar 0-0 money-back offer. What’s live instead is the 2-goal Early Payout trigger above, parlay and accumulator boosts on soccer markets, and a Sub On Play On offer that carries your bet on a backed player over to his direct replacement if he’s substituted out of the match.

The lineup has one gap that matters. bet365’s US promotions pages have not carried a tiered loyalty or rewards scheme for sportsbook players, and that still appears to be the case. Cash Out and partial Cash Out carry their own embedded margin too, so the price offered to close a position early always sits a little below the fair value of what you’re closing.

bet365 Customer Support

Three channels, three different levels of usefulness. Chat runs 24 hours a day, a webform handles non-urgent questions, and the phone line, 1-888-8-BET-365, is staffed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET daily. Chat opens with an AI agent instead of a person, which bet365 discloses on its own help pages. It’s fast for routine trouble, a deposit that hasn’t landed or a bet you don’t understand, and genuinely weak on anything needing judgment. For a verification hold, an account restriction or a closure, reaching a person with authority takes persistence.

Treat the escalation path as leverage.

  • An assigned agent handles the complaint first, aiming to respond within 48 hours.
  • If that doesn’t resolve it, Customer Service Management issues bet365’s final response along with a Complaint Reference.
  • With that reference in hand, your own state regulator takes the complaint, whether that’s the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the Michigan Gaming Control Board or the Ohio Casino Control Commission.

That sequence is the reason the license exists, and using it is ordinary. An internal step can change even when the overall shape holds, so check bet365’s complaints procedure before you treat those stages as fixed.

bet365 Pros and Cons

What Works

  • International and niche market depth few US-first books match, from lower-tier soccer to darts to cricket
  • A dense, market-first in-play console paired with Early Payout across four sport groups
  • An app rated 4.8 on the App Store, statistically even with DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM once you can see how many ratings sit behind each score
  • Instant deposits starting at $10 across most funding methods
  • A withdrawal window that aims for 2 hours and rarely exceeds 48
  • Live streaming unlocked by any funded balance, not just an active bet

What Doesn’t

  • A 17-state footprint that still excludes New York, Massachusetts, Nevada, Florida and Washington
  • No loyalty or rewards program for sportsbook players
  • Terms that reserve the right to decline or amend any bet and cap maximum winnings
  • Withdrawals conditioned on verification checks that can run at any time, including after your first deposit
  • Search and navigation that assume you already know where your sport is filed
  • A seven-day bonus bet clock with the stake excluded from every return

Split by who you are, bet365 lands three ways. Bet international sport or live inside the in-play console and it’s the strongest legal option here. Bet only the four major American leagues and you get a perfectly good book with a thinner promotions calendar than some rivals. Win consistently and you get sharp prices for a while, then meet the maximum-winnings cap and the decline clause in practice.

bet365 Responsible Gambling Tools

bet365 builds these controls into the account itself instead of pushing you off to a separate site. Deposit limits work over a day, week or month. A sports-specific spend limit caps wagering separately from deposits. Session limits track time logged in, and an activity log shows your actual staking history rather than the version memory tends to supply.

ControlWhere it’s setTakes effectReversible?
Deposit limit (day, week or month)Account menu, gaming controlsDecrease immediately; increase after the current period endsYes, on that schedule

Time OutAccount menu, gaming controlsImmediatelyNo early exit; runs the period set
Self-ExclusionAccount menu, or a state registryImmediatelyNJ: 1 year, 5 years or permanent, in-person DGE visit to reinstate. Elsewhere: 6 months to 5 years, no early exit

The asymmetry there works in your favor by design. Lowering a limit takes effect at once, while raising one waits for the current period to expire, so a Monday weekly limit can’t be raised until the next cycle starts. Time Out and Self-Exclusion are two weights of the same idea, and both still let you withdraw an existing balance throughout.

bet365

bet365 is the largest sportsbook in the world by customer count and brings the live betting product it built in Europe: streaming in the app, early cash out, and in-play markets that stay open when others suspend. Its welcome offer pays bonus bets whether the first wager wins or loses.

bet365 Review FAQ

Is bet365 Legal in My State?

bet365 holds an active sports betting license in 17 states. Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia. Anywhere else, including New York, Massachusetts, Nevada, Florida and Washington, bet365 doesn’t operate, for the state-by-state reasons above.

Can an 18-Year-Old in Kentucky Open a bet365 Account?

Opening the account, yes. Claiming the welcome bonus, no. Kentucky is the one state where bet365 sets its account-opening age at 18 instead of 21, matching state law, but both current welcome offers are restricted to customers 21 and over nationwide, with no Kentucky exception written into the bonus terms.

Is There a bet365 Promo Code Worth More Than the Standard Offer?

No. bet365 has said directly that a bonus code entered at registration doesn’t change the offer amount in any way, so a code works as a tracking tag and typing nothing gets you the identical offer.

What Happens If I Only Use Part of a Bonus Bet?

Nothing comes back. A bonus bet stakes whole or not at all, so an unused portion isn’t held as residual credit and doesn’t extend anything else in the balance. Once the seven-day clock runs out, whatever is left gets removed.

How Long Does a bet365 Withdrawal Take?

bet365 aims to release a withdrawal within 2 hours of the request and states it can take up to 48 hours, and that figure covers only its own processing. The receiving bank or wallet adds its own posting time on top, from nearly instant on PayPal to 2 to 5 banking days on an international debit card.

Does bet365 Have a Loyalty or VIP Program?

No. No tiered rewards, points or status program for sportsbook players appears anywhere on bet365’s current US promotions or help pages.

What Happens If bet365 Posts the Wrong Price and I Bet It?

bet365 can correct or void it under its Obvious Error rule, which applies to a price that looks like a clear outlier against publicly known information or similar prices elsewhere. A price no other book is offering is the one most exposed to a later correction under that rule.

Is US bet365 the Same Book as the International Site?

Same brand, different legal entity. The US business operates as separate, state-licensed companies instead of one national platform, and that’s why the state list, the promotions and the streaming lineup differ from whatever version of bet365 you may have used outside the country.

Does bet365 Offer Live Streaming?

Yes. A funded sports account or a bet placed in the last 24 hours unlocks streaming on most events, with only selected greyhound and horse racing requiring an actual qualifying wager.

Does bet365 Run a Refer-a-Friend Bonus?

No. bet365’s current US promotions pages list boosts, parlay enhancements, Early Payout and event-specific offers, and no referral program among them. A link claiming to pay a referral bonus is an affiliate tracking link carrying whichever welcome offer you already qualify for.

The Short Version

Confirm your state first. A license in 17 states doesn’t mean a license in yours, and another sportsbook being live where you are proves nothing either way.

Price the welcome offer in real cash before you claim it, not by the number printed on the banner, and clear it inside the actual windows bet365 sets instead of the single deadline most people assume exists.

For international sport and in-play betting, bet365 is the deepest legal book in the category. If you only play the major American leagues, it’s solid and unremarkable. If you win consistently, learn the maximum-winnings cap and the decline-any-bet clause before your bets get big, and not after they do.
