How Did Super Bowl Odds Change After Week 1?
  • The Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl odds lengthened from +450 to +600 after getting crushed by the San Francisco 49ers, who jumped from +2000 to +1200 after Week 1.
  • There were 13 teams that had their Super Bowl 61 odds shorten, 15 teams that got longer, and four left unchanged ahead of Week 2.
  • The Pittsburgh Steelers are the only Week 1 winners that saw their Super Bowl odds get longer, going from +5500 to +7000.

LOS ANGELES – The Super Bowl 61 favorites, the Los Angeles Rams and their “superteam”, disappointed in their Week 1 international opener against the San Francisco 49ers. A dreadful showing combined with news of Myles Garrett placed on Injured Reserve moved LA’s legal sports betting odds to win the Super Bowl from +450 to +600.

The Buffalo Bills (+900) are the only other team with triple-digit odds, followed by the Baltimore Ravens at +1100 after both squads got a bump from impressive Week 1 victories. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers joined the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks at +1200 odds, who’s odds stayed the same despite losing quarterback Sam Darnold for at least another week.

Biggest Movers Post-Week 1: Cardinals, Jets, Bucs, Giants

The Arizona Cardinals had the biggest climb at NFL betting sites after their upset win over the Los Angeles Chargers as 10.5-point underdogs. Arizona went from dead-last on the Super Bowl betting board (+100000) to +25000 odds. On a $100 bet, their preseason odds would payout $10,000 compared to $2,500 now.

The New York Jets handled the Tennessee Titans in Week 1, shortening their Super Bowl LVI odds from +40000 to +30000. New York still has plenty of work to do to earn legitimate odds for a Super Bowl run, but sportsbooks noted their Week 1 performance.

Their New York counterpart in the Giants impressed on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, bringing their Super Bowl odds from +6500 to +4500. Jaxson Dart looked great, Malik Nabers looked healthy, and the Giants’ defense contained a Cowboys’ offense that projects to be one of the better units in the league this season.

The other biggest mover of the week was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who’s Florida sports betting odds shortened from +7000 to +5000 despite a Week 1 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Tampa Bay is tied for the NFC South division lead as all four teams start 0-1, so their odds will always reflect the strong chance of winning the weakest division in football and creating a path to the Super Bowl.
