Kamario Taylor Is Rolling: Miss State QB Props Vs. Missouri
  • Through three games Kamario Taylor is 56-of-82 (68.3%) for 832 yards, with 11 touchdown passes against one interception.
  • His 27 carries have produced 178 rushing yards and a score.
  • Mississippi State is a 6-point favorite over Missouri, with the total set at 58.5.
  • A win would give No. 24 Mississippi State its first 2-0 start to SEC play since 2014.

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State sophomore quarterback Kamario Taylor has thrown 11 touchdown passes against a single interception through three games, and the No. 24 Bulldogs are favored by 6 points at home over No. 19 Missouri on Saturday night at Davis Wade Stadium.

Three Games, Three Big Days

Taylor has thrown at least three touchdown passes in every start. He opened 22-of-34 for 354 yards and four touchdowns as the Bulldogs beat Louisiana-Monroe 62-13, then hit 16-of-22 for 227 yards and three touchdowns while Mississippi State won 38-13 at Minnesota.

In the SEC opener he threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns on 18-of-26 passing, rallying Mississippi State from a 16-0 deficit to a 41-34 win at South Carolina. The season line, 832 yards and 11 touchdowns against one interception, ties him for second nationally in touchdown passes with SEC play barely underway. His only pick in 82 attempts this season came during that South Carolina comeback.

A Ranked Date With 2014 Stakes

No. 24 Mississippi State is ranked for the first time since 2022, and No. 19 Missouri brings its own unbeaten record into its Southeastern Conference opener at Davis Wade Stadium. A Mississippi State win would deliver the Bulldogs’ first 2-0 start to conference play since 2014. Saturday’s matchup is one of the marquee college football betting draws of the week, pitting two undefeated, ranked SEC teams on SEC Network.

The Passing And Rushing Props

Taylor’s yardage has been feast-or-famine against a passing total of 254.5: he cleared it with 354 yards against Louisiana-Monroe, then fell under it against Minnesota (227) and South Carolina (251). Average the three starts and he is throwing for 277 yards a week, comfortably above that number even with the two shorter outings dragging it down.

The Mississippi sports betting rushing total of 49.5 yards has more swing to it. Taylor cleared it twice, with 59 yards against Louisiana-Monroe and a season-high 86 at Minnesota, before a quieter 33-yard day at South Carolina, when the comeback leaned on his arm instead of his legs.

What The Spread Says

Mississippi State is also a -225 legal sports betting favorite on the moneyline, meaning a $225 bet returns $100 in profit if the Bulldogs win outright, while Missouri’s +185 pays $185 on a $100 stake if the Tigers pull the road upset. The 6-point spread and the 58.5 total make the number a bet on continuity: whether Taylor’s three-game pace survives Missouri’s first look at him in the Tigers’ SEC opener.

Kickoff at Davis Wade Stadium is set for 6:45 p.m. CT Saturday, with both teams still undefeated and early position in the SEC standings on the line.
