Battlehawks Slightly Favored Over The Defenders In Week 10

  • The two teams will face each other in the first round of the UFL Playoffs.

WASHINGTON – The top two teams of the XFL Conference will play each other in Week 10 of the UFL season, the final games before the first round of the UFL Playoffs.

Battlehawks vs Defenders Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Battlehawks -2.5 (-110) -145 O 43.0 (-110)
Defenders +2.5 (-110) +125 U 43.0 (-110)

The Battlehawks hold a league best 7-2 record entering Week 10 while the Defenders are tied for the second best record at 6-3.

Legal sports betting sites list the Battlehawks as 2.5-point road favorites in DC. Bet on St. Louis to cover the spread at -110 odds.

These two teams are already scheduled to play each other next week in the first round of the playoffs, so this game will consist of very basic plays and lots of backups.

DC has already announced that their starting QB, Jordan Ta’amu, will not be playing this week along with other starters. Mike DiLiello will start for DC after completing 17 of 29 pass attempts for 207 yards and a touchdown in Week 9.

St. Louis is planning to play most of their starters, including starting QB Max Duggan.

The two teams faced off back in April with the Defenders taking home a 27-15 victory on the road. That was the second to last game in which the Battlehawks started QB Manny Wilkins before making the switch to Duggan.

St. Louis has gone 5-0 since making Duggan the starter and is currently riding a five game winning streak entering tonight’s game.

Max Duggan is 4-0 as a UFL starter.

The Battlehawks have gone 3-1 on the road, but have not played very stiff competition in those games, with two of those teams having just one win on the season.

The question is how long will each team play the active starters due to the insignificance of the game. UFL betting sites indicate that St. Louis will play their regular guys long enough to earn a road win.

Give the slight edge to the Battlehawks since they will have their starting QB, at least for the beginning of the game.
