The FanDuel Sportsbook at Belterra Casino is now open and taking bets!

  • Indiana sports betting is actively going on.
  • Belterra Casino has partnered with FanDuel for their sportsbook.
  • Belterra’s new sportsbook is expected to bring in customers from multiple states.

FLORENCE, Ind. – The FanDuel Sportsbook at Belterra Casino took its first bets on Monday.

Belterra partnered up with FanDuel to open their own sportsbook. In the sportsbook, five betting windows are available. Customers will have the ability to talk to the tellers to walk them through their bets. More experienced bettors can use one of the 13 self-service kiosks to make their bets. There are also 14 video displays and a video wall with games playing at almost all times. The sportsbook is right near the entrance of the casino.

Cincinnati Bengals legend Ken Anderson made the first bet at the new sportsbook. He wagered $100 that the Bengals will beat the San Francisco 49ers this coming Sunday.

Through IN SB 552, sports betting was legalized in Indiana. In the bill, statewide mobile sports betting was approved as well. At the moment, the new FanDuel Sportsbook does not have a mobile sportsbook. FanDuel is working with Boyd Gaming to introduce an online and mobile sportsbook in Indiana.

Casino owners don’t think they will draw in just Indiana residents. The Belterra Casino is right on the Ohio River. The owners think that they will draw in not only people from Ohio, but Kentucky as well.

“There’s a lot of sports fans around here so it gives us an opportunity to have a new customer but also the sports fans around here, it gives them another option to watch the games in a fun environment,” said Blair Bendel, vice president of Marketing for Belterra.

For now, the only people that can bet at Belterra are those who are willing to make the trip. There is currently no timeframe for when the mobile sports betting will launch for the new FanDuel Sportsbook.
