Pair Of Regional Hosts Favored To Advance In NCAA Baseball
  • Tennessee (-290) is favored over Wake Forest after losing on a walk off last night
  • Southern Mississippi and Miami (FL) will face off for the second time in two days after a 17-6 beatdown by the Golden Eagles

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The final regional games of the NCAA Baseball Tournament will take place on Monday, as six teams look to punch their ticket to the Super Regionals.

One of the most highly anticipated games is the Wake Forest Demon Deacons taking on the Tennessee Volunteers.

Wake Forest vs Tennessee Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Wake Forest +2.5 (-110) +210 O 14.0 (-120)
Tennessee -2.5 (-120) -290 U 14.0 (-110)

These two teams played each other on Sunday, ending with a Wake Forest walk off to force a second matchup to decide who will advance.

Legal sports betting sites have the Volunteers as decent favorites with -290 odds to win outright.

Tennessee won each of their first two games handily, beating Miami (OH) 9-2 and Cincinnati 10-6 before losing a potential regional-clinching game to Wake Forest.

Wake Forest lost their first game of the regionals to Cincinnati by a score of 11-6, then went on to win a shootout over Miami (OH) 14-13 and avenge their loss to Cincinnati, beating the Bearcats 10-3.

Both teams are playing some of their best baseball and this one could go either way. Lean towards Wake Forest to cover the spread as the best bet for this one.

Miami (FL) vs Southern Mississippi Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Miami (FL) +1.5 (-125) +130 O 13.0 (-115)
Southern Miss. -1.5 (-105) -180 U 13.0 (-115)

The Hurricanes of Miami and the Golden Eagles of Southern Mississippi will match up once again on Monday after Southern Mississippi posted a dominant 17-6 performance in Sunday’s elimination game.

College baseball betting sites lightly favor Southern Mississippi to win their fourth consecutive game and punch their ticket to the Super Regionals.

Southern Mississippi earned the 16th seed and the right to host a regional in Hattiesburg but lost their first game of the tournament to Columbia 11-4.

They were able to claw their way back into contention by winning their next three games, including a 6-5 win over Alabama, an 8-1 revenge victory over Columbia, and a 17-6 beatdown of the Miami Hurricanes yesterday.

Miami seemed poised to cruise to the Super Regionals before getting demolished in the series-clinching game, beating Alabama 5-3 in their first game of the regional and smoking Columbia 14-1 in the semifinals.

It is often said that baseball is all about getting hot at the right time, and it appears that is the case for Southern Mississippi. Bet on them to keep it rolling and advance past the Hurricanes.
