Joe Biden

  • The VP debate was Wednesday night and Joe Biden’s odds have remained shorter than Donald Trump’s.
  • Depending on which sportsbook you use, Biden is now favored to win the Presidential Election next month at -190 odds or -170 odds.
  • The VP debate was much different than the first presidential debate with Pence having multiple moments where he was very polite to Harris.

WASHINGTONThe Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence took place on Wednesday night with it bringing back the traditional feel of an election debate after the unusual and chaotic first Presidential debate.

Joe Biden is still the favorite to win the election and his odds have continued to get shorter than Donald Trump’s on certain online sportsbooks after the Vice Presidential debate aired.

Biden’s odds were also shorter than President Donald Trump’s odds after the first presidential debate between them, where most of the time was spent talking over, attacking, and insulting each other.

Now that the first and only Vice Presidential debate has finished it seems that more sports bettors are leaning toward a Biden victory. This can best be seen from Bovada’s presidential election odds which were just -175 a few days ago.

The VP debate covered many topics and was a much clearer display of answers from each party. Aside from both candidates constantly being told their time was up during their response and the candidates ignoring the warnings, the debate was very civil between the two candidates.

Of course, the most important topic for voters, the Coronavirus, was discussed first and was where Harris took the opportunity to attack the Trump campaign directly on their response to the pandemic.

“The American people have witnessed what is the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country,” said Harris. “They knew what was happening and they didn’t tell you … They knew and they covered it up.”

Though Pence ignored the moderator’s statements that his time was up routinely, he may have been working to kill with kindness as he took the complete opposite approach than Trump when engaging with his opponent.

He started the debate by saying “Senator Harris, it’s a privilege to be on the stage with you”, thanked her and Biden for their “genuine concern” for the President’s COVID diagnosis, said twice “you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts” when disagreeing, and congratulated her for her historic nomination.

Though the VP debate was definitely a big difference from what America watched the week before with the Presidential candidates and even though Pence took a completely different approach than his running mate, it seems legal sports betting sites are continuing to shift in the favor of the Biden campaign.
