LAS VEGAS – The WNBA Playoffs are on their way and it has been a close race thus far. The Connecticut Sun are going up against the Chicago Sky while the Las Vegas Aces face off with the Phoenix Mercury.
Both series are currently tied at 1-1 and either team is looking to come out strong in Game 3 to take a commanding 2-1 lead. As the odds sit right now, regulated sports betting sites have the Connecticut Sun favored to win the WNBA Finals with +100 odds.
WNBA Finals Odds
- Connecticut Sun +100
- Las Vegas Aces +200
- Chicago Sky +500
- Phoenix Mercury +700
Connecticut Sun Vs. Chicago Sky
Many expected the Connecticut Sun to run away with this series, however, the Chicago Sky have held their own. The Sun went into the playoffs with the best record in the league at 26-6 while the Sky were a whopping 10 games behind at 16-16 in the regular season.
From here on out, Connecticut should have a cakewalk. They are 23-11-1 against the spread this season and are well above a .500 spread record in every category such as home games, away games, games as the favorite, and games as the underdog.
The Sky have seen a different outcome as they are 15-20-1 against the spread. They are also 6-7 against the spread when being seen as the underdog, which they have been in this series so far.
Connecticut will look to make a statement in the remainder of the series and move on to win the WNBA Championship.
Las Vegas Aces Vs. Phoenix Mercury
The Las Vegas Aces want to to make it back to the WNBA Finals after coming up short last season against the Seattle Storm. Even though the Aces have much shorter odds to win the WNBA title than the Mercury do, the Mercury should not be overlooked.
Vegas has struggled against the spread this season with a 16-17-1 record while Phoenix has the best ATS record in the Western Conference at 21-14-1. Phoenix has also killed it when going in as an underdog with an 8-2-1 record ATS in an underdog situation.
The Mercury are coming off of a crushing 117-91 Game 2 win and will look to carry that momentum for the rest of the series, hoping to turn it into a championship title run.
All in all, it could be a very profitable day for those betting on Phoenix to win.
