Olympic Trampoline

  • The stars of Team USA gymnastics return to the Olympic stage with China expected to be the team’s biggest gold medal obstacle.
  • Betting odds are now appearing for the gymnastics competition with China holding the best odds in women’s trampoline.

TOKYO – Olympic betting is set to break records around the country this year with popular events like gymnastics leading the way.

The final additions of the Team USA roster have been accepted, and the team is set to defend their gold medals on the mat, bars, trampoline, horse, and elsewhere in Tokyo.

Team USA is full of stars on the “artistic gymnastics” side like Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Grace McCallum, and more that the country will undoubtedly fall in love with throughout the Games. One newcomer in the individual gym event trampoline is Nicole Ashinger of Lafayette, Louisiana who just won the USA National Championships back on July 1st to earn her place on the roster.

Ashinger scored a 155.830 to capture the spot and will try to eclipse a number of names currently ahead of her via the odds on the online Olympic betting sites.

Women’s Trampoline Gold – 7/30/21

  • Liu Lingling (CHN) +225
  • Zhu Xueying (CHN) +300
  • Hikaru Mori (JPN) +350
  • Rosannagh Maclennan (CAN) +900
  • Bryony Page (GBR) +1400
  • Yana Lebedeva (ROC) +1400
  • Megu Uyama (JPN) +2000
  • Susana Kochesok (ROC) +2500
  • Nicole Ashinger (USA ) +2800
  • Samantha Smith (CAN) +2800
  • Jessica Pickerig (AUS )+4000

The favorite for Gold is China’s Liu Lingling, a four-time World Champion in trampoline who is making her Olympic debut at the age of 26.

A bet on Ashinger has tremendous value, as her performance on the international stage is unknown. She could perform far ahead of her expected result based on her Olympic betting odds.

It is rare that a Team USA gymnast finds themselves so far down the betting lineup, but the trampoline event has never been one for the Americans. Having failed to medal in this Olympic gymnastic event, Chinese gymnasts (with the help of Huang Shanshan, He Wenna, and Li Dan) have collected five medals since 2000, including one gold in 2008.
