• The Century Casino locations in Colorado have made a deal with a sportsbook operator.
  • Circa Sports Colorado will be the mobile sportsbook for these casinos.
  • Licenses and a launch date are hoping to both be ready no later than May 1, 2020.

DENVER – Sports betting was voted into legalization in Colorado in November 2019 and now Century Casinos has partnered with Circa Sports Colorado to open mobile sportsbooks within their eleven locations in the state.

Both companies have put in their applications for licensure in hopes of receiving approval before May 1, 2020, to begin operations.

The Partnership

The deal made between the casino and the sportsbook company is a 15-year agreement. Within it comes a share of all the net revenue from gaming, a guaranteed annual minimum revenue payment for the company and a fee for market access to sports betting.

Once the licenses have been granted, a launch date is expected by May 1, 2020, as they already have everything ready to go.

Circa has two more slots available in terms of Master licenses to operate sports betting platforms with other businesses in the state. As for the company themselves, they are very excited to break into the Colorado sports betting industry.

“We are excited to be at the forefront of sports betting in Colorado with our partners at Century Casinos,” said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports.

“Colorado has proven to be an ideal place to mark the official expansion of Circa Sports outside of Nevada with its pro-growth regulatory environment. Furthermore, the Colorado Division of Gaming has done an excellent job to ensure a seamless application and launch process.”

Colorado Sports Betting

Colorado sports betting has been legal for months but it’s finally starting to come to fruition. This still allows time for sports betting in the Centennial State to take wagers on their beloved Nuggets  if they are still alive in the postseason.

Currently, the Nuggets are 36-16 and third in the Western Conference. Their next game is on Saturday, February 8 on the road against the Phoenix Suns. The game begins at 9:00 p.m. EST and will be televised on the ALT network.

There are NBA odds up for the match at U.S. sportsbooks but those are only available in other states. The Suns are at 20-31 for the season making the Nuggets the favorite based on their record alone.

This time next year, Coloradans will be able to place wagers on a game like this with local sportsbooks like that of Circa Sports Colorado.
