ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Betting on Sports America (BSA), the largest sports betting conference in the US, is fast approaching and members of the industry are quickly preparing to showcase their offerings at the conference. One of those attendees includes the global powerhouse Continent8.
The conference will begin on April 23 and last until April 25. During that time, BSA will be hosting 40 guest speaker sessions by a total of 175 sports gambling industry leaders. Outside of the speaker sessions, there will also be an exhibit hall featuring 60 different companies.
Over 100 different gambling operators are expected to show up, which is where Continent8 comes in. The company specializes in online gaming data hosting and is a global network solutions provider.
Continent8 already has servers located in key markets across the US including California, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and is looking to announce their new data hosting center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, this upcoming June.
The location of the conference is also crucial. The conference will not only feature members of the sports betting industry but possibly politicians who are considering legal sports betting.
The BSA conference will offer some of their events in New York, a state which has gone back and forth on the issue of online and mobile wagering on sports.
According to a statement given to SBC Americas, “Continent 8 will be promoting our multi-state hosting, security, and networking capabilities as well as insights into our deployment progress in states where online gaming regulation is currently being discussed, thus ensuring our clients will be first to market when powered by Continent8’s suite solutions.”
Whether or not New York legislators will attend the conference remains to be a mystery, however, BSA speakers have been announced.
These speakers include former Philadelphia Phillies All-star Ryan Howard, President of Interactive Gaming for MGM Resorts Scott Butera, William Hill US CEO Joseph Asher, and Current New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
Some of the speakers alone have the potential to heavily influence the future of sports betting legislation in markets across the US.
