Fox Bet should bet in live testing by next week with a chance to launch before the NFL season kicks off.

  • FOX Bet will be available for residents in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  • The FOX Bet app will have official league data and statistics through other partnerships.
  • The online betting app is licensed under Mount Airy Casino, who plans on launching a land-based book.

MT POCONO, Pa. – Pennsylvania has become one of the largest gambling states due to their rapid expansion into online gambling. Many casinos in the state have partnered with operators to provide an online sportsbook and casino for their users.

None, however, have the same firepower as FOX Bet. With Mount Airy Casino as its partner, the two have plans to launch their sportsbook before the start of the NFL season.

But without a land-based sportsbook ready to go, the belief is that only the online betting app will soon be available. The casino may set up a temporary land-based area to place wagers in the meantime but has not discussed plans to do so.

Reports indicate that FOX Bet will begin their testing phase early next week on September 3, with hopes of approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in time for an NFL launch.

Using The Stars Group as their supplier, FOX Bet will have access to official league data and offer betting lines on sports such as the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL as well as the lesser-viewed sports like rugby, cricket, and darts.

It is unknown as to whether the app will be available for Android users as well as iPhone users at the time. The state had experienced a minor hiccup with online betting platforms on iPhone devices a few months ago.

FOX Bet would become available for Pennsylvania sports bettors in an extremely quick period of time. Just three months ago, The Stars and FOX released the details of their partnership.

There is no doubt FOX Bet will continue its expansion throughout the country as more states legalize sports betting and online casinos. In fact, the plans to launch in New Jersey are believed to also be around the corner – before the start of the NFL season.

Also, FOX Sports took the gambling industry to the radio, offering a daily sports betting show for users in the Philadelphia area. With this heavy connection, in the highest sports betting areas in the country, FOX is seeming ready to capitalize on the newly legalized industry.
