DANVILLE, Ill. – Illinois sports bettors will soon be gaining yet another online and mobile betting platform as Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) has partnered with Wilmot Gaming Illinois LLC to launch the Golden Nugget sportsbook in the Prairie State.
The GNOG will launch through the Danville Development, LLC, giving market access to Gold Nugget in Illinois. The partnership will also build a brand-new casino operation in Danville, Illinois.
The agreement allows GNOG to supply legal sports betting online to all Illinois residents. In addition, should mobile and online casino gambling be regulated in the futrure, the GNOG will also be able to supply their online casino operations.

The Golden Nugget brand, owned by billionaire Tilman Fertitta has been consistently expanding throughout the year. With the immediate success of the Illinois sports betting market, it makes perfect sense that Fertitta would want to bring his GNOG offering to the Prairie State.
The deal comes with the caveat that Golden Nugget will commit to $30 million to the Danville Development company for the construction of the casino. Following this, GNOG will have market access for 20 years.

The casino will bring the GNOG to Illinois, add another retail sportsbook in the state, and will be host to the Landry’s Steakhouse, also owned by Fertitta.

Danville now joins a long list of cities to have a Golden Nugget casino, including Las Vegas, Lake Charles, Atlantic City, Biloxi, and Laughlin. Fertitta continues to be a staple in the legal gambling arena in several markets across the country.
