This was revealed in a press release from Penn National Gaming. Penn National Gaming is one of the biggest gaming operators in the United States. Ever since the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), Penn has dived into the sports betting world.
The new sportsbook is going to be placed within the Hops House 99 Sports Bar. The casino will add new televisions for the sports bar. The televisions will broadcast various games that sports bettors can wager on. The casino is also adding a new wagering counter to the bar. For those who do not want to remain in the bar, sports betting kiosks will be available around the casino.
Sports betting is legal because state lawmakers signed IN SB 552 into law. This law allows both retail and mobile sports betting to take place in Indiana. At the moment, Penn National Gaming will not launch mobile sports betting at the Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg.
Within their press release, Penn National Gaming makes a couple of notes about mobile wagering. The company said that online sports betting could have delayed the launch of the retail sportsbook. It is possible that Penn National Gaming does have plans to launch mobile sports betting. If that is the case, mobile wagering will be offered in the future.
