LAS VEGAS – International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that it signed a multi-year sports betting technology deal with Boyd Gaming Corporation on Wednesday.

The agreement states that the IGT PlaySports platform will support Boyd Gaming land-based sportsbooks in Nevada and the online and mobile sports apps also based out of the Silver State.

The leading US casino operator will be stationing IGT’s self-service PlaySports Kiosks in the various Nevada gaming facilities. Both companies will take the necessary time to launch all the features and services that will come from the technology deal.

“IGT and Boyd Gaming will create a dynamic omnichannel sports betting product that is sure to stand apart in Nevada, the most mature and high-volume sports betting destination in the U.S.,” said Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President. “IGT’s PlaySports platform enables Boyd Gaming to differentiate its sports betting product in meaningful ways that position them to attract new players and grow revenue in the segment.”

The PlaySports platform will also allow Boyd Gaming to improve system navigation and seamlessly update betting trends and real-time data on top of being a progressive and robust legal sports betting program.

The program will offer players a chance to enjoy a wide range of bets, new technology features, and convenience with their sports betting experience.

IGT has globally led in gaming and delivering entertaining experiences that stretch further than just sports betting to gaming machines, lotteries, and digital gambling outlets.

The firm has created close relationships with governments and regulators in over 100 countries in the world while maintaining a sports betting relationship with Boyd Gaming in the US since 2018.

The PlaySport platform is not only powering sports betting in Nevada but also at the Boyd Gaming owned venues in Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania.
