  • The PBA has been exploring ways to bring Bowling betting to sportsbooks.
  • There has been no timetable set dating when bowling odds will be available at sportsbooks.
  • The PBA has recently signed a multi-year deal with FOX Sports.

LAS VEGASBetting on professional Bowling might soon be coming to sports betting menus around the world.

As the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) is looking to enter the legal sports betting arena for the first time in the sport’s history.

”The PBA has been tracking the movement towards legalizing betting in America with great interest,” said Lev Ekster, PBA COO. “We have been speaking with experts on betting and educating our organization as to how to approach this coming opportunity effectively and responsibly.

There is no timetable for when PBA odds will be available at sportsbooks but the assumption is that bowling betting will have the green light sooner rather than later.

Surprisingly bowling can offer a variety of odds and ways to bet on the sport, even live betting action.

The PBA has been trying to grow its reach in the sports world as they recently signed a multi-year deal with FOX Sports which now owns the exclusive broadcasting rights of the PBA through the year 2022.

Seeping into the betting market is one of the best ways for the PBA to grow its audience and to allow the fans that they already have to get in on the action too.

“We are looking forward to how, over time, this can add to our fans’ engagement and enjoyment of this great sport,” said Ekster. “We think, if done properly and with an emphasis on assuring the integrity of the sport, it has the potential to add a lot of value for our fans.”

These moves have certainly placed the PBA in a position to grow the sport of bowling as according to figures from Nielsen, the 2019 PBA Tournament Of Champions (TOC) delivered 1,131,000 viewers on Sunday, February 10 while airing on FOX.

The numbers were a 75 percent increase over the previous year.

As the PBA looks to grow betting on bowling could soon be coming to your favorite sportsbooks.
