BETHESDA, Md. – Sports betting fans in Maryland will see an all-new sportsbook operation once regulated sports betting officially launches.
Live! Casino and Hotel will be opening its official sports lounge, The Sports & Social at Live! Casino on April 29. Sports & Social also plans to open a second location at the Pike & Rose venue in Bethesda.
The sportsbook will be a $12 million addition to the casino. With the impending launch of the Maryland sports betting market, operations are already working towards creating sportsbooks for patrons.

The passing of HB 940 has opened up Maryland to the world of legal sports betting and the anticipation has casino venues working hard.
The $12 million renovations to the Live! Casino and Hotel tears down the former Center Stage that was initially in the middle of the casino floor, replacing it with the new sports lounge.
The lounge will be 14,000 square feet, have over 100 linear LED screens, have a state-of-the-art audio and visual product system, and have a 47-foot wide main screen in the center of it all. Patrons will have access to up to 10 different sporting events for viewing at a time.
The sports lounge will also have two main bars, luxury sports viewing chairs, VIP areas, and will be surrounded by the casino.
The social gaming aspect of the lounge with be interactive with games like mini-bowling and oversized foosball. The entire sports lounge is meant to be the one-stop-shop for fun in Maryland.
Sports betting fans have been waiting for the launch of sports betting since the November 2020 ballot resulted in a vote of approval for the new market.
With the work by local casinos to present this new market, local betting fans will immediately have access to some of the best betting experiences out there.
