Mattress Mack Loses $2 Million on the Dallas Cowboys

• Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale lost $2 million this weekend after betting on the Dallas Cowboys to beat the San Francisco 49ers.
• The only outstanding bet that Mattress Mack has now is on the Houston Cougars NCAAM National Championship, which would net McIngvale $14 million on a $1.5 million bet.

DALLAS – Fresh off the Dallas Cowboys’ loss against the San Francisco 49ers, Mattress Mack’s wallet is a little bit lighter after having bet $2 Million on Dak Prescott and company to win.

Mattress Mack Loses Two Million

Mattress Mack bet $2 Million on the Cowboys to win on the moneyline with +165 and +170 odds on two separate million-dollar bets to win a total of $3.35 million.

Dak Prescott got outdueled by 49ers rookie sensation Brock Purdy, with Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale offering up his suggestions on how Prescott could improve next season.

With McIngvale consistently tying his store (Gallery Furniture) to his high-profile bets, the mogul suggesting that Prescott switches to one of his store’s highest-selling and most expensive mattresses may prove to be an excellent marketing move.

That comment to switch mattresses was the second marketing tactic of the week based on the Cowboys game, as Gallery Furniture had also offered customers promotions that would have given them their money back if they spent at least $3,000 on a mattress and the Cowboys had won.

The money-back-guarantee has now become a staple of Mack’s, as he has offered similar giveaways for other high-profile bets on the TCU Horned Frogs, Houston Astros, and many more.

Mattress Mack now has just one known outstanding bet, with $1.5 million on the Houston Cougars to win March Madness and become National Champions for the first time in school history.

If the Cougars win it all, Mack’s $1.5 million bet would payout $14 million based on the long +900 odds that the mattress mogul got them at.

The Cougars have seen their odds shorten to +600 at legal sports betting sites, and if they continue to shorten, now may be the best time to bet on the Kelvin Sampson-led squad.
