Mavs Rolling Through The Preseason

The Mavericks have gotten off to a hot start to the preseason with a 2-1 record through their three games. In their two wins to start the preseason, they’ve covered both their set game spreads on NBA betting sites and a 7-point spread both times.

As for the Lakers, they haven’t been as hot with a 1-3 record to open their preseason run. They are 1-3 against the spread as well in those games. In their two losses, they have failed to cover a +7-point spread as well.

The big push towards Dallas in this one has been their consistency in the starting lineup with D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Dereck Lively, and Cooper Flagg all starting in each of their three games. Los Angeles has used their preseason to experiment with different starting lineups each time.

There is also a case to make on the under in total points for this one based off of trends. In the two games that Dallas failed to cover a 7-point spread, those games stayed under 219 points. In all three of the Lakers losses, where they also failed to cover a +7-point spread, they remained under 219 total points as well.
