NCAA Orange Bowl And Fiesta Bowl Getting Major Action

Those who are taking the favorite Iowa State to win should also be looking to the Cyclones to cover the spread. Not only because the spread is just -3.5, but also because the Cyclones are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games as the favorite.

The smart money is on Iowa State to cover the spread, but underdog bettors could still go home winning big.

The Texas A&M Aggies are heavily favored and it is mainly due to the strong offense that head coach Jimbo Fisher has instilled in the team. Fishers coaching this season has even garnered the admiration of the North Carolina Tar Heels coaching staff.

“I think he’s a tremendous football coach,” said Jay Bateman, defensive coordinator of the North Carolina Tar Heels. “I think he’s a tremendous play-caller. “He does a lot. So I think schematically he gives you a lot of conflicts, probably as many conflicts as anybody we’ve played.”

Under Fisher, the Aggies managed to finish the season with an 8-1 record and is ranked fifth in the nation. This game will be a hard fight for the Tar Heels, leaving underdog bettors in a tough spot.

Those taking the Tar Heels to pull the upset regardless of the odds stacked against them may also want to look at taking action on other betting lines like the game’s totals.
